These babies are on their way to me! Second-hand though, because they weren't available in stores anymore. Still very excited for them to arrive! I will get them in black instead of this blue-ish colour. Can't wait to create outfits with them! Actually the shoes are by Van Haren, which sells a lot of great shoes for just little money. Great for students like me. I don't know if the quality of the shoes is very high, but I've never had problems with their shoes in the past. Besides I own a lot of shoes, so I won't wear the same ones every day. I hope these babies fit me perfectly, so I can wear them very often.

I so want to see the movie 'My week with Marilyn' about a chapter of the life of Marilyn Monroe. I've just seen the trailer and it looks absolutely beautiful. I think Michelle Williams looks stunning as Marilyn! I don't know that much about Marilyn Monroe, but I really love her style. A while ago I also stumbled upon a book of Marilyn called 'Fragments'. It's full of letters and pages of her diaries as well as very rare photos of her. I totally loved the book, but can't remember why I haven't buyed it by then. Definitely going to order it very soon. Well, I just found out that the movie isn't been playing at a cinema near my town or my boys town. So, I have to download it and buy it when it comes out on dvd, I guess. Such a pitty. 25 days: my hairstyle

I attempted to curl my hair with some foam curlers. It was the first time I did it all by myself and, as you can see, it didn't work out the way I wanted. Still a good job for the first time I think. Well, at the moment my hair is red. I really like it this way, but the colour doesn't seem to stick to my hair as it's supposed to be. I'm going to try some other brand hairdye and hopefully it will stay longer in my hair.
On an other note: it's been a while since you saw my face here on my blog. I think I did one post with a picture of myself in it a long time ago. I just don't like being in pictures, but maybe I'll do a picture of myself every once-and-a-while. If anyone has tips for curling your hair with foam curlers, that would be great! My curling iron hasn't arrived yet, so I want to get better at getting curls with foam curlers!

Happy new year to everyone! Hope you all had a very lovely new years eve etc. Mine was great and was about the whole day long. Because of my boy's birthday the 31st of December, we went to Naturalis (a natural history museum) with his grandfather. I had never been there before, but it is already one of my favourite museums of the Netherlands. Besides all the animals and stuff there was also an exhibition which featured something my boy had made (for a designer/biochemicus). I'm so proud of him! In the evening we went to family and celebrated new years eve there, which was very lovely. After watching the fireworks we went on to a party with some great bands, but we only got to see one unfortunately. We ended up having a drink with a few friends of us at their place. All in all a lovely and fun day! What have you been up to?
As I browsed through some blogs, I stumbled upon these new years resolutions. I never make them myself, just because of the fact I won't stick to them. Allthough I don't make resolutions, I thought it would be fun to create a list of things I really want to do this year. Here we go;

- Going to a lot more museums + getting a museumcard
- Spend more time with friends and family
- Start drawing and illustration again, more frequently
- Take more fieldtrips with my DSLR
- Make more cupcakes and pie's
- Save money
- Try buying less make-up, nailpolish and clothes
- Get to know more/everything about Darwin and his evolution theory
- Read more books
- Clean out my wardrobe and donate/sell/get rid off everything I don't wear
- Find a new part-time job in Leiden
- Complain less about silly things
- Getting a new pet

These make still a big list though, haha. Tomorrow I'll start with my wardrobe - as I'm going home today. I think I'll start with my shoe collection, as I don't wear a lot of them anymore because my style has changed a lot. Maybe I'll do a post about the things I'm selling here too. We'll see.

By accident I stumbled upon this great rockabilly swing band from the Netherlands: Liptease and the backstreet crackbangers. They're playing at the new years eve party at Scum. I really like the rockabilly style, as in clothing, make-up and hair. This post is about rockabilly hairstyle. I definitely want to try it out myself, but I don't know how to get it that way. Think I'll need to search for some tutorials. Besides the rockabilly hairstyle, I really like bright red hair. I've already dyed my hair bright red, but it didn't last very long. My boy is going to dye my hair tomorrow. The pictures below are all by Liptease and the backstreet crackbangers. Can't wait to see them play the 1st of January! Santa claus is coming to town

Tonight I wrapped my last christmas gift. It is for my dog. So, now I have a suitcase full of gifts for the holidays to bring home with me (also including gifts that my boy bought). Hope everyone likes them. I'm also very excited of the gifts I will get. I get excited over every present or gift though. I'm still a little kid sometimes. You know what also gets me excited for christmas? All the happy christmas songs you hear all over the place; in shops, on the street, at school etc. They're all very cheezy, but still so much fun. This year my boy is coming over to me and my family for christmas. It's been a few years since he last was with us at this time. I hope he likes it. We still celebrate it like we always do. On the first day that means a brunch, unwrapping gifts and have diner. On the second day we go to the movies. We don't know yet which movie we will go to, must be something like Twilight, Sherlock Holmes or Puss in boots. We'll see. Tomorrow is my last day of school before a two week holiday. Can't wait! PS: I'm still hoping/wishing for a white christmas, but I think the weathergods aren't with us this year. So sad.

25 days: favourite colour of clothing

Most of the time I wear black with a hint of red, purple or army green. I also like all shades of grey, burgundy and dark blue. On the other hand I like it to throw on a white shirt, but always in combination with some darker colours. You'll never see me wearing a white pant or something. A hint of a bright colour is something I also love. Again never totally dressed in bright colours. Green and pink are my favourites on these ones. An other favourite: silver! Allthough I have the cutest and funiest dog in the world - yep, everyone says that about their dog - I really want a new fluffy and cute pet. After our Dachshund had died me and my mom really wanted an other one. Still I want a little Dachshund, but can't affort one right now. Also I haven't got the space for a dog, because I'm almost all the time with my boy and he has a two-room-appartment. I think it will be better to get a more little furry friend, like a guinea pig or a rat. Since I've been to the zoo and saw this most cutest rat ever, I had to have one. On the other hand I really like guinea pigs. As a little child I had a few ones and they were way too cute. I still haven't decided yet which one I will choose. Ofcourse I have to discus this with my boy, because I need to bring my new furry friend with me when I'm staying at his. 25 days: An item from my wishlist

Let's get along with my 25 days challenge. As you can see, I won't post a challenge everyday. Just because I don't feel like posting one every single day. Most of the time I'm very busy with school and in the weekends I try to spend as much time as possible with my boy and friends. However, tomorrow my boy and I are going to Amsterdam, so expect at least a picture of my new hair-do (pssst, it's very red). Maybe I'll do an ootd too, we'll see. The challenge I choose to post about is an item from my wishlist. I have a lot on my wishlist, but have a no-buy month. So, I have to wait a little longer to buy anything from it. Thank god there is such thing as christmas, because I'm asking for a nail art kit by Essence (since you can't get the Konad ones in store here). We'll I choose one thing I really-really want. It's one thing in three different versions though;

I really want these three Sleek palettes. I have heard a lot about them and saw some pretty nice swatches and eotd with it. The Acid palette is my number one, because of the bright colours. So is the Monaco palette. I want the Original palette, because of the neutral colours and the purple-blue-green shades. Now I have to decide which palette I want to order first, as I don't want to order all three of them (I don't own anything of Sleek yet, allthough I heard a lot of positive things about the brand).

I thought it would be fun to share my favourite songs at the moment with you. I also try to uploud some youtube clips of a few songs in this post. Let's start;

01. Pantera - I'm broken
First heard this song in a Guitar Hero game on the Wii: Warriors of Rock. Then discoverd I had the song on my ipod. From that moment on it's one of my favourites.

02. Hell militia - Shoot, knife, strangle beat and crucify
This one's a cover of GG Allin. It's a black metal version of a punk song and I totally love it. From the moment I first heard it, I loved it. Don't know why, I just did.

03. H.I.M. - Endless dark
A golden oldie. As a teenager I listened a lot to H.I.M. and of course had a crush on Ville Valo (the singer). I don't listen that often to their music lately, but this one is still a favourite of me. Just as all the songs on the 'Love metal' album.

04. Birdy - People help the people
I saw the clip of 'Skinny love' at MTV and was just blown away. Later on I found out that the girl - Birdy - was only 13 years young! Incredible. All her songs are beautifull though.

05. Rihanna - Love the way you lie, part 2
I just love Rihanna. And I just love this version of this duett with Eminem. Only like the parts where Rihanna sings though.

06. Adele - Hiding my heart
I loved her first album '19' and so i do with her second album '21'. This one's the last song on her second album and it's so touching. Just beautiful, like all her songs.

07. Triptykon - Goetia
With the singer of Celtic Frost this can't be bad at all. It's black metal, but I find it a bit softer and more melodic. Still the lyrics are dark though and their sound also. Dying to see this play live.

08. Taake
I listen to all their albums and saw them live a couple of months ago. Love them even more after that concert. '...Doedskvad' is my all time favourite and 'Nattestid'.

09. Arckanum
There's not one particulair song I can choose as my favourite. I listen to all of the albums lately, with 'PPPPPPPPPPP' as my favourite.

10. Johnny Cash - Hurt
A cover from a song by Nine inch nails. He did it so beautiful. You just have to love his 'American recordings'. At least I do.

There are a lot more bands and artists that I like, with some of my all time favourites. I'll do an other post on that, one day. As you see I like a lot, mostly black metal and other metal. Still a few popacts can satisfy me too.

I'm not that kind of girl that is an open book to everyone. I like my privacy and I think that not everybody needs to know certain things about me and my life. On the other hand I think it's fun to share certain things with others and I don't do this very often on here. I thought it would be fun and time to share with you some personal stuff. Yes, I have a dog. It's a beagle and his name is Pelle. He's very active, frolic and sweet.

I don't have a driving license.

I own an Apple Macbook and a netbook by Packerd Bell. I use my Macbook for graphic purposes and my netbook for my study.

I wear glasses, some 'nerdy' ones by Spijkers & Spijkers.

18. Do you colour your hair?

I change the colour of my hair very often and started to dye it when I was 12. At the moment it's a natural redish colour, but I'm going to dye it bright red within a week or two.

Doing some homework, cleaning the house, getting groceries and reading weblogs.

20. When was the last time you cried?

A few months ago, when I heard that someone in my family had ended his life.

Four different cheeses or vegetables.

Non of the above. I prefer a chickenburger.

No, I usually get some sleep. Allthought it will be 2 hours, I really need it.

Definitely! I really like Coke and find Pepsi a little 'dry'.

Besides these I own a red shade by O.P.I., a nice grey shade with shimmers by Bourjois, a dark blue shade with big glitters by Etos and a brown shade by NYC. At home I also have a few nude colours, some gold nailpolish and other neutral colours like light pink, which I don't wear lately.

As you can read most of my nailpolishes aren't that expensive. That's mostly because I'm on a tight budget as a student. On the other hand I think the polishes by Essence and Catrice are pretty nice to paint your nails with. I can't compare them with big brands like Chanel or something, but they fit for me. On my wishlist are still some bright blue coloured polishes, especially with glitters and stuff. I also would to own a pretty dark green colour. Oh and on top of my wishlist is the 'Go goth' set by O.P.I. I really like the darkened colours of that set. Besides nailpolish I own a few cute nail-art stuff, but I haven't used it yet because I don't know how to apply it. Such a pitty.

The last couple of days we're covered in a very thick fog, which is very annoying. Yet on the other hand it's also very magical. You only can see what's right in front of you, very strange. What better things to do than drinking tea and stroll around on the internet. I found this amazing tumblr-blog-thingie about hair. It's very inspiring with pretty pictures. See below. On an other note: last saturday we were supposed to see Decapitated and Aborted play. I say supposed, because the trains weren't riding. Me and my boy were very dissapointed, but still had a good time playing with our new Wii console.

Vampire's love by Essence

To feed my new make-up addiction I -again- bought some nailpolish and eyeshadow palette. This time it's from a trend edition by Essence: Vampire's love. It's inspired by all the vampire movies and series you see now-a-days, like The twilight saga and The vampire diaries. I don't like both of these, but the make-up was very pretty in my opinion. I bought the 'Old Buffy' nailpolish, which is black with golden glitters and shimmers. And I bought the eyeshadow palette 'Love at first bite', which consists of 6 different colours: black with silver glitters, black with a gold shimmer, purple, violet, dark blue en silver/blue-ish. I even like the names of the products. There are also a few other things in this edition, but they weren't my cup of tea.

This past period at school is definitely not mine. Right now I'm studying for an oral examn I have tomorrow and it seems like I don't suck anything up. Don't know if I will past it. On top of this I'm also having a little flu with a cold sore. It couldn't be any better... Now I'll stop complaining about it and let's talk about some fun things. Next weekend I'm going to see The Devil's Blood and Herder (and a lot of other bands) play and I'm very excited about it already! It's also a pretty nice closure of my exams. On an other note; I'm thinking of getting a new tattoo, or two tattoos I must say. For some time now, a year or longer, I want some frankenstein stitches on my wrists. Really thinking of getting them in the near future. On the other hand: I saw these most amazing and beautifull shoes, which I also am dying to get my hands on. A real tough decision to make. Last sunday I finally bought a book of the Satanic Sluts. The girls are really pretty and their outfits (if they wear them) are too. I'm totally into shiny leather again. I should get back to studying. Bye!

Last night I went to see Taake play at Rotterdam and they were awesome! I had high expectations and they made it true. Most blackmetal acts disappoint me because of their show. Or should I say: lack of any show. Taake is definitely a band I would like to see play again in the future. Now my hair is longer, I could try to headbang. I'm a bit scared though, because I really don't know how to do it and I'm afraid I will look stupid. My boy and I were standing in a corner of the concert hall, so I could try it out and I did it! Since last wednesday I've been searching for the books I told you about in my previous post and I coulnd't find any of them. Very frustrating. So, this morning I went to a huge bookstore, who also sells secondhand books (which I really love). Still didn't find any of the books I was searching for, but still I found 4 new books. One English book: 'Selected tales by Edgar Allan Poe' and three Dutch books: 'Zwaarmoedige verhalen voor bij de centrale verwarming by Heere Heeresma', 'Het geheim van Eberwein by Boudewijn Buch' and 'Honderd woorden voor grijs by Hannah Buenting'.
At the moment I'm busy with homework, but i can't wait to get to read one of my new books. I think I'll start with 'Selected tales by Edgar Allan Poe'. Edgar Allan Poe mostly writes horror stories and I'm a bit of a sissy when it comes to horror. I get easily scared. We'll see how the book turns out, otherwise I'll past the book onto my boy. Think he will like it.

I'm in need of new books. Lately I've been reading a lot again, which means I've read all of my books. This time I will try out an English book, maybe I'll like it or maybe not. Long time, no see. Again. I love blogging, but I am - again - very busy with school and other fun things. I went with my family-in-law to Belgium and the Plopsaland amusement park. It was a very nice weekend at sea, with lots of sunshine etc. The Plopsapark was very nice made and all the famous characters where there, so it was very excited for the 2 year old one we had with us. I also enjoyed it very much! The weekend after this, my parents came to visit Katwijk and my boys place in Leiden. They'd never been there before and they really liked both Katwijk and Leiden. Afterwards we went for dinner in a nice wok-restaurant with delicious food. And this weekend, well yesterday, me and my parents went to the zoo. It was because of my fathers work. We went on a nightwalk with some animal carers and got to see places you normally don't visit. Very nice! Well, enough talk and let's go to the pictures. I haven't taken any pictures of my parents visit though.

Such a beautiful song, it gives me goosebumps. It's by Nine Inch Nails, but I prefer the version of Johnny Cash. I wasn't a big fan of his songs, but I really like his Amrican Recordings. I highly recommend every album of that serie to everyone, even if you don't like him - just as I did before.

I started a second blog here on blogspot: Dressée sur les toits du monde. I wanted to write in dutch, as english isn't my best at the moment. I'll update this blog too though. It isn't a goodbye. Wishlist autumn/winter '11

The weather is very sad today, it looks like autumn has already arrived. Not that I'm complaining; I love the autumn. Because of the pouring rain and the howling wind, I thought it was the best time to scroll through some webshops and create a wishlist for when the weather is getting colder. Some of the things I really need to have:

A cosy and warm beige coloured cardigan and a striped longsleeve - by Mango

A wide legged pants in red, or beige/black/blue - by Asos

Black fringed suede boots - by Minnetonka

Feather earrings - by Topshop

An adjustable peterpan-collar to spice up some outfits - by Asos

These are just a few of the things I really like to have for this autumn/winter season. I already bought a dark blue and a nude coloured cardigan, which I was on the hunt for for a while. Next saturday I'll be going on a shopping-trip with my mom, it was a birthday-gift, so I hope I'll some things that are on my wishlist. Now I'm going to watch part one of Harry Potter and the deathly hallows. With a cup of tea and a blanket, to stay in this autumn-feeling.

What I've been up to

1. I've seen Kylesa live at Baroeg in Rotterdam. They were very awesome and it was one of the best concerts I've been to. They had two drummers! I had never seen that before. Also the only lady of the band was really cute, with nice tattoos. Their music is called sludge metal, but there are some psychedelic elements in it too. Very relaxed and energetic at the same time. The artwork of their albums and merchandise is very awesome too. You should definitely check them out!

2. I've been to Werfpop at De Leidsche Hout at Leiden. It's a free festival with great music and some little stands. I've seen/heard Tim Knol play, which I really liked. We came to see Monster Magnet, but it wasn't my cup of tea. Nice to listen too, but not that special in my opinion. Besides the bands, there was also a Goa area: I really liked it. Afterwards I bought a few things: a hippie pant and two handmade bracelets.

3. I've got my new glasses and I really love them! Maybe a picture will follow; don't like taking pictures of myself.

4. I've spend already two weeks at my boys place, with my boy ofcourse. It makes me happy and don't want to leave anymore. Although I have to leave this sunday, because of my work. It already makes me sad.

5. I finally have holiday from school! Yesterday I did my last 'herkansing' (second change for an exam). I passed, which I'm very happy about. Now I have all the time to do only the things I want. Today this means: doing nothing at all! Just a little blogging and making wishlists for this autumn/winter season. And drinking lots of tea!

6. Bought the new issue of Elle and got really inspired by the autumn/winter 2011 lookbook. Already drooling over some pieces I definitely need to have. My wishlist will follow on here (will be the next post).

7. This friday I'm going to dance my ass off at FREITAG at LVC Leiden! I'm so excited about it. The last FREITAG was in april this year, so it's been a long time ago. I'm already doubting over what to wear. I think I'll be going for some black tutu with a fluorescent pink tee and bright make-up and accessories. FREITAG is a cyberparty and I totally love it!

Well, that would be the major things I've been up to over the last couple of weeks. I'm also very excited about the new Harry Potter movies, which hits the theatres today in Holland! Yes, I'm a total nerd.. I know.

Today is my birthday, I'm 23 years old by now. I'm going to celebrate it with Iron maiden and lots of other people tonight at the Gelredome in Arnhem. Already had a party for my family last saturday and already got my presents that day. What did I got; a shoppingtrip to a city of my choice (in the Netherlands) and shoppingmoney for that trip - from my parents, a drawing book called 'Scribbles, a really giant drawing and coloring book by Taro Gomi' - from my boy, a voucher for some parfume - from my sister in law, and lots of money + an Iron Maiden tee + soap-flowers from my family and neighbours. So happy with everything. Really want to start drawing and coloring, but I need to do a shitload of things for school. Ah, almost holiday! Btw, pictures will follow. Now I'm off to homework again.

The art of blooming

An other project for school. It shows me as a teeny tiny plant, in the beginning of my study. On the other hand it shows me as a grown tree at the end of the first year of my study. The little colored 'apples' are my qualities, such as; helpfull, creative, inquisitive... The little silver dots are my goals to get better and better at my study, those made me the 'tree'. Maybe it's a little woolly, but that's ok.

This is what my day looked like; going through lots and lots of books to get the right information, finding exercises for better articulation and prosody, get all these things in my computer and drink lots of tea during all this. Aaaargh! Nothing goes right today, - my printer just doesn't want to print the things I want (and need) - I discoverd some spots on a cardigan I bought last sunday and haven't worn yet - my computer crashed down a few minutes ago - I'm stressed and that caused me a cold sore - it's raining, while the sun was supposed to shine because it is a bad day, I guess. Just a few hours before I'm heading off to my boy. I haven't seen him for about three weeks now, so I'm very excited. We haven't got any plans yet for the weekend. I think his sister's birthday is tonight, but I'm not sure.

Next Tuesday I have to get some blood samples, it frightens me already. I'm such a sucker when it comes to needles etc. My mother will join me, for support. I'm so happy about that. Can't tell you how awfull it makes me feel, thinking about those blood samples. One nice thing about it: after Tuesday I'm finished with my vaccinations and stuff. So, no more needles for me!

Back to today; I still have to pack my bags, to get in the shower and to get dressed. I guess I'll be doing that now, otherwise I will forget a lot - I'm very chaotic when it comes to packing under a time limit.

Today it's an easy day for me, I really need to slow down. The last three weeks were a bit hectic, because of my broken student travelcard (and I had to pay to go to school) and all the things we had to do for the project. I'm so happy that my new card arrived last Wednesday! Today I have a day off and first I wanted to do nothing at all. I failed that, because I have to hand in a paper next wednesday and I hadn't started on it yet. This morning I worked on it and next Tuesday I will finish it, so for now I don't have anything to do at all. So relaxing and nice.

Something different: I'm thinking of getting wooldreads. Well, actually I'm not thinking of getting them, I will be getting them. For my birthday! So excited. My birthday is in June, so I have enough time to let my hair grow a bit longer. Just perfect. My boy is also very excited about it, never thought he liked dreads at all. He's considering to get real dreads. If I like the wooldreads, I think I want to get real dreads in the future, when my hair is long enough.

Just downloaded the complete discography of Faun and unfortunately couldn't find any albums of Leaf. Such magical music. It actually is folk and Faun calls their music Medieval folk. It gives me a very calm and happy feeling when I hear both of them. This summer I hope i will be going to Castlefest - which is a medieval and fantasy event in de Netherlans - and see both of them perform live. Think it would be a great experience, with lots of dancing and stuff. I really can look forward to it already. I suggest you check Faun and Leaf out and get enchanted by their music.

This post is all about me, myself and I. Very Egocentric, but true. For school I have this project where you have to tell about yourself; who you are, where you come from, what your qualities and pitfalls are, what interests you etc. All those things I have to put together in some presentation. I chose to create a collage of pictures en illustrations, because I like to be creative. I discovered that I like too many things, at least too many to put in my collage. On the other hand: I never have to feel bored. Thought I'd show you some pictures of the work in progress. Pictures of the final piece will follow, when it's finished. I went to see Glorior Belli last friday at Rotterdam. They were bloody brilliant! The 'singer' was just too cute, allthough you couldn't see his face when he performed. The One also was very great. During the concert I saw an old friend, which wasn't that much fun. My boy also told me a few things afterwards, which weren't quit fun to hear. So, next time I hope he isn't going.

On the week-end my boy and I didn't do that much. Just being lazy and enjoying each others company, which was very pleasant. On sunday we went to shop at Leiden - which is were my boy lives. I bought a new dress for going out and I totally love it!

The dress I bought - it's from Hell Bunny.

After that my boy took me out for dinner at a wok-restaurant, which was very dilicious. I ate ostrich steak, which wasn't my cup of tea, and lots of prawns, grilled courgette, rice and so on. We definitely want to go back there sometime for dinner. It was so sweet of him to take me out for dinner, very lovely. What did you do last week-end?

Today was just not my day. I woke up with an awful stomach acke and felt really sick and tired. On top of that I fell in the bus and my student-travelingcard broke. It takes two weeks to get a new one and in the meantime I have to pay for traveling by train and bus by myself. So unfair.

Tomorrow I have to get another vaccination - the last one of my Hep. B. I'm very happy that it's the last one, as I really don't like vaccinations or needles at all. Within four weeks they also have to take a blood sample, so they can check if it's in my blood. That's even worse than a vaccination. My mom is going with me though, but that's because of my student-travelingcard - see above.

The first post of the new things I bought: the shoes!

I bought these cuties for only 5 euro at VanHaren. They're very comfy and tough yet feminine. Perfect for spring and nights out.

I bought these boots in a tiny shop in Arnhem, when I went shopping there with my mom. It was love at first sight, as I was searching for such boots for a while now.

These pretty ones I bought in a petit boutique in Germany. Actually they are a very dark blue, allthough they look black in the picture. I really love the combination of the fabrics: suede and patent leather.

I'm so in love with my new shoes. To me they are just perfect. What do you think and did you buy some pretty shoes lately?

Yesterday I took a me-day; I did only the things that make me feel good and things I really wanted to do. It's so calming and relaxing to create such a day once in a while. My day mostly consisted of drinking tea - my fav: green tea with lemon grass - and reading the Flow magazine, such an inspiring magazine. I also ordered some books for my study and recieved one already in the mail, just a moment ago. Very exciting! It's about throat surgery, nose surgery and otology. Very interesting! I can use it for the course that I have today: anatomy and physiology, about the human brain, speaking and hearing.
Back to yesterday; besides the tea and flow and ordering books, I also put some clothes on marktplaats.nl - it's like a dutch ebay. Already sold a few things! Well, that was my relaxing Tuesday. Did you do some nice things last Tuesday?

Things I've been up to lately;

1. School, school and school. It's just so stressfull at the moment. Next week I have my exams for this semester, it frightens me out! Gladly the project we've been working on is finally coming to an end. This was the stressiest time this far..

2. I've been not very well the last couple of weeks. I think it's because of the stress I get from school and stuff. I'm very tired, even if I sleep until 10 in the morning.

3. I started to create my own little bracelets, with teeny, tiny beads. I hope to finish my first one this evening, or otherwise tomorrow. I got inspired by a friend of my boy. She was making a necklace with pretty celtic beads.

4. My boy and a friend threw a party last week or so, because of their birthday. It was very odd, but fun though. I can't remember everything, which is very frustrating. But well, that's what you get with too much Jägermeister - mix it with coke and it tastes like gingerbread cookies! Delicious!

5. I bought tickets to see Iron Maiden play in june this year! It's even on my birthday. A few other concerts coming up too; excited!

6. I cleaned out my closet. Once again. Threw out all the things I don't wear right now en won't wear in the near future. I even didn't buy clothes or shoes the last two months - because of my tight studentbudget - and I didn't miss it at all. Too many clothes, still don't know what to wear. Sounds familiar to anyone?

A few days ago I bought myself a longboard. Now I guess I'm hooked on it! My boy got his one a few months ago. Everytime he wanted to cruise on it, I had to take my bike - which I didn't like. Now can we cruise together. I'm totally in love with my board!

Don't mind the bad quality of the picture; I took it with my HTC.

Merry christmas everyone, hope you enjoy it as much as I do. This year we have a white christmas, just like last year. Very magical. Yesterday we, which means my parent, brother and me, started with some festive breakfast. After that my brother and I got our presents and in the afternoon we went out for diner. Which was very lovely and delicious. I ate deer, wild boar, pheasant and salmon. Not something I eat everyday. There were also stewed pears, so delicious! Some pictures of the things I got;

From top to bottom: embroidered tunic-blouse, sparkly hairclip, hairbraces with a big bow with tiny studs, big ring with a pearly stone, dark blue velvet cardigan, blood-red nailpolish.

I also got a sleeve for my mini-laptop and a mini glitterlamp. Pictures of my glitterlamp will follow. It looks really awesome in the dark.

- just downloaded the whole discography of Tegan and Sara. Just beautifull

- a few concerts coming up in 2011, can't wait! Forgotten Tomb, Glorior Belli and Iron Maiden! I'm so excited to see Iron Maiden. It's even on my birthday. What better birthday can you wish for. I've never been to such a big concert before, by the way. Most of the time it frightens me, the big crowds. Somethings else that firghtens me: Eddie. I just don't like huge, scary puppets..

- finally I've been to Harry Potter and the deathly hallows, part 1. I went with my boy and the movie was just awesome. The best one so far. I'll expect part 2, to be even better.

- christmas is almost here! And there is even snow. Let's hope it will be a white christmas this year. I bought the prettiest dress ever, to wear with christmas. It's with silver velvet, so pretty. But what to wear it with? Dilemma.

- bought some more books about witchcraft and wicca. Very interesting, although I can't identify myself with all the aspects. Still figuring it out.

Christmas wishlist

I had to finish my christmas wishlist by today, because my mother wanted to go christmasshopping this afternoon. There's not much up it though, couldn't think of what to ask. There's nothing special that I really want or need. I just asked:

- red nailpolish (blood red)
- a ring with a big coloured stone
- some nice hair braces
- a book with herbs
- rune stones
- a (fake) leather mini skirt
- a mini glitter-lamp

Winter wonderland

Finally winter has arrived. Not that much snow, like in England, but it's here. Which means: christmas is coming up[!], making a snowman, drinking a big cup of hot tea, wandering around in white forests, my boy's birthday, lots and lots of knitwear and I could go on and on and on.. The winter is my favorite season, I think I mentioned it already. I just love all the cosyness it brings. I even like the cold, a bit. You can imagine how excited I was when I saw that it was snowing today! Just perfect!

I didn't create a christmas-wishlist yet, but I really want it to be christmas. By now. The preparations are fun too, though. Decorating the house and the christmastree. Buying presents for my loved ones. The days that are getting shorter. The snow, if there will be any this year. The hot chocolat at the café. Just the cosiness of it all. Oh, I'd wish it would be christmas already... My wishlist will follow soon.
